Canon held the lead in the entry-level full frame DSLR market for quite some time thanks to the Canon EOS 6D Mark II, an exceptionally versatile camera. Nikon, however, has finally replaced its capable but aging Nikon D750, which was launched back in 2014, with the Nikon D780.
